This chapter will cover information about Syzdothyx's rise to power, and the conquering of Artha.
The location of Syzdothyx's birth, or the identities of his parents, are unknown even today. He refuses to acknowledge anything before his reign over Artha, and no one is old enough to remember.
It is common knowledge that Syzdothyx, at a relatively young age, became well-known throughout Artha for his talk of setting up a kingdom. Most simply laughed in his face, telling him that Artha would never be ruled by a single dragon. But there were those who agreed with him, and saw an opportunity to put an end to the barbaric ways of the 'free' dragons. It wasn't long after that Syzdothyx began drawing up plans with his followers.
He started with dividing his followers into two factions, and naming a head of each. He tasked them with utter domination of each side of Artha, Mania and Dementia. They did well, and managed to bring everything under his control in only two short years. It was then that Syzdothyx turned his attention to creating a grand city, and entertainment for his subjects. It took nearly 50 years for New Syzdoth to be constructed, with two halves mirroring the division of Artha itself. Along with that came the Arena, built in the middle of the wall of that separated the cities so that it became common ground, and interesting to both sides.
